Customers at a cannabis store in Halifax’s north end have been credited with helping thwart a robbery Sunday evening.

Halifax Regional Police was called to the scene of a Farm Assists cannabis shop at about 8:30 pm to find several people involved in an altercation, including one person wielding a knife, according to Global News.

Police report that a man entered the store, pulled out a knife and tried to rob the pot shop. Fortunately, he was “subdued by multiple persons already inside the business,” police say. The investigation continues.
