Eleven pounds of marijuana, thousands of dollars in cash and a firearm were discovered inside an Artesia home Friday, according to the Eddy County Sheriff’s Office.
Manuelito Enrique Delarosa, 24, was arrested and charged with a probation violation in the incident.
Deputies assisting the New Mexico Adult Probation and Parole officers in a search of a residence in the 2700 block of Terra Verra Lane found one pound of marijuana allegedly belonging to Delarosa.

The search was halted, and deputies obtained a search warrant under which they located 11 pounds of marijuana. The search was executed by the Sheriff’s Office Violent Crime Suppression Unit and the Pecos Valley Drug Task Force.

A firearm and over $6,4000 in cash was also seized from the resident, read the release.
Delarosa was arrested Saturday and is being held without bond or bail.

Eddy County Sheriff Mark Cage said the investigation is ongoing and more charges could follow.
No court date has been set for Delarosa, per online court records.
