U.S. Border Patrol agents seized about $234,000 in marijuana at the riverbanks, authorities said.

Agents said they observed several individuals carrying bundles across the Rio Grande onto U.S. soil during the afternoon of Sept. 2. With air support, agents seized three marijuana bundles and turned the individuals back to Mexico.

Authorities said the bundles weighed about 293.5 pounds and had an estimated value of $234,800.
