SUDBURY – The resident of a Boston Post Road apartment police found a quarter of million dollars’ worth of marijuana and THC edibles has yet to be charged in the case.

But, Police Chief Scott Nix said Monday, the man will be charged in connection to the case, which remains under investigation. His name has not will not be released until charges are pressed.

On Thursday, around 7 p.m., police went to the parking lot of the apartment complex of 655 Boston Post Road for a report of someone with a gun. The gun, police said, turned out to be a replica pellet gun.

However, police looked inside the car of the person who possessed the gun and saw a large amount of marijuana and edibles. Police arrested the owner of the car, Miguel Teo, 23, of Colorado. He was with two other people.

One lied about his identity, but police later identified him as a juvenile who had been missing for a year. The boy was a runaway from a residential facility in Fitchburg, Nix said on Monday. The teenager was taken to juvenile court on Friday and it is not known if the boy has been returned to the facility.

The other man with Teo was a resident of the building. Police got a warrant to search his apartment and found around 50 pounds of marijuana and a large amount of THC edibles. When police told the man what kind of charges he could face, the man attempted to harm himself, police said. Officers stopped him and took him to the hospital to be evaluated.

Police said the street value of the drugs was around $250,000.

Police arrested Teo at the scene and charged him with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of THC with the intent to distribute and malicious destruction of property.

At Teo’s Framingham District Court arraignment on Friday, the judge did not set any bail on the new case, but revoked his bail on an open case. The details of that case were not available.
