LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Eaze, California’s largest legal cannabis marketplace, today announced the line-up for its March 12, 2020 pitch day event in Los Angeles, where participants in Eaze’s Momentum business accelerator will compete for funding from industry-defining investors.

NBA and NFL legends Al Harrington, Ricky Williams, and Matt Barnes will attend and highlight their groundbreaking work advocating for cannabis as a safe alternative to traditional medicine for professional athletes. They will be joined by keynote speaker Timeka Drew, EVP of Engagement for 4Front Ventures, Los Angeles City Councilmember Curren D. Price, Jr., and Linnea Miron, CEO of Real Wellness by Ricky Williams. This all-star lineup is joined by sponsors Leune, CannaSafe, UFCW, Telos, UltraNative, Bail Capital, Select, 4Front Ventures, Mr. Harrington’s cannabis brand Viola, Blaqstar Farms, Homegirl Catering, and ScaleLA.

Launched in September 2019, Momentum is a business accelerator that supports and empowers underrepresented founders in the cannabis industry, including people of color, women, LGBTQ, and veterans. Momentum’s goal is to help build a diverse industry that addresses the impacts of the War on Drugs and supports small businesses in becoming more profitable and sustainable. Momentum’s advisory committee selected ten businesses for participation; each business is receiving a $50,000 grant; has completed a ten-week education program led by 40 industry volunteer experts; and has gained access to Eaze’s ecosystem of business, marketing and retailer resources. The March 12 event capstones the inaugural Momentum program.
