Nov 13, 2019 — Folks at the Akwesasne Mohawk Reservation are weighing whether to legalize recreational and medicinal marijuana.
According to WWNY TV, St. Regis Mohawk members plan to vote on it in mid-December and think it could be pretty lucrative.
If it’s approved, then they’ll start writing rules for growing, processing and selling it.
The St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s department says they’re nervous about legalizing marijuana in general, especially when it comes to safety and enforcement.
