CRANBURY, N.J.–()–Dermatology Times®, a leading multimedia platform that provides regulatory and clinical updates, as well as the latest news and trends in dermatologic procedures, therapy, technology, products and drugs, is excited to introduce its new podcast series, “The Cutaneous Connection.” The podcast, catered toward dermatologists, is part of the advancing omnichannel strategy of Dermatology Times®.

“Research and therapeutic development have not stopped, and new findings are continually developing to better inform dermatologists with tactics to manage patients with inflammatory conditions,” said Mike Hennessy Jr., president and CEO of MJH Life Sciences™, parent company of Dermatology Times®. “The launch of ‘The Cutaneous Connection’ podcast series is part of our broader goal to deliver new and emerging information to health care professionals as it happens.”

Podcast episodes are distributed on Thursdays and follow a bimonthly cadence. Each 15- to 20-minute episode covers different facets of relevant content in dermatology. The interview-style podcast features industry experts who explore the impact of new data and technologies to support practitioners in optimizing patient care and practice management.

“Dermatologists can now hear about new data and technologies through a variety of communication channels and supporting resources that are designed to offer complementary and comprehensive industry education and to meet them where they are,” said Colleen Hall, vice president of content for Dermatology Times®.

The first podcast episode, which is available on the Dermatology Times® site, features Adam Friedman, M.D., FAAD, professor and interim chair of dermatology of The George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences. The episode delves into a discussion on the use of cannabinoids in dermatology, the effects that endocannabinoids have had in treating inflammatory skin diseases, their rising use in skin care and why physicians may opt not to recommend these products despite inquiries from patients.

The recently relaunched Dermatology Times® website serves as the hub for the brand. It improves the user experience by highlighting key therapeutic areas to simplify navigation and access to pivotal developments through daily industry updates. Expanding video and audio products aim to forge connections among colleagues, highlight thought leadership and facilitate discussions to optimize practice and improve patient care. The legacy print product continues to amass insights to offer a breadth of analysis on new data, regulatory updates and practical business solutions.
