A New York man was arrested for possession of marijuana while waiting in the parking lot of the Middletown Police Department Monday. 

Police say Arturo Munoz was waiting in the police department parking lot to conduct a sale transaction for a motorcycle. 

Police say when officers questioned why he was there, they noticed the smell of marijuana coming from his car.

After some brief questions, police say Munoz admitted he had pot in the car.

He was placed under arrest and released on a summons.
