An Eaton County woman was taken into custody at the Blue Water Bridge after she was discovered driving a stolen car Thursday, according to a news release by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
The driver made a wrong turn onto the Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron, the release said. She presented herself to Customs and Border Protection for entry back to the U.S., but Customs and Border Protection was alerted the vehicle she was driving was stolen, the release said. A search of the vehicle turned up 30 grams of marijuana and gold bars weighing five pounds, the release said.
The Michigan State Police are investigating the case and custody of the woman, gold and marijuana has been turned over to them, the release said.
