Marijuana smoke coming from a vehicle window during a traffic stop Monday led to a drug arrest, Abilene police said.
An officer initiated the traffic stop of the vehicle traveling without headlights turned on at about 10:20 p.m. in the 1300 block of Cypress Street, according to the police report.
When the officer walked up to the vehicle, he noticed a strong smell of burning marijuana and smoke coming out of the windows, the report said.
The driver had a glazed look in his bloodshot eyes, the report said, and 17 grams of marijuana was found during a search of the vehicle.
The 19-year-old suspect was charged with possession of marijuana and taken to Taylor County Jail. He later was released on a $750 bond.
