Over $300,000 in cannabis was destroyed yesterday in Manzanilla. 

The drugs were found and seized during a police operation which took place between 9 am and 1.30 pm yesterday, under the supervision of Snr Sup Aguilal. 

The officers received intelligence which led them one mile into a forested area off Sadoo Trace, Manzanilla where they came across several fields of marijuana. 

No one was within sufficient proximity at the time, so no one was held. 

The drugs were counted, and police found an estimated 3,000 fully grown marijuana trees. 

This operation was supervised by ASP Joseph, Sgt Katwaroo, Sgt Conliffe, Cpl Hosien, and others. with personnel from EDTF and SIU. 

This operation was incident free.
