ANN ARBOR, MI — Two more Ann Arbor marijuana shops are rolling out curbside pickup as Michigan businesses continue to adjust to mandated restrictions amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Bloom City Club at 423 Miller Ave. and Skymint at 1958 S Industrial Highway in Ann Arbor are both offering curbside pickup. Bloom is planning to offer delivery services and Skymint is offering 10% off of online orders, according to a news release.

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer on Monday ordered all non-essential business services to close from March 24 through April 13 to limit the spread of COVID-19 but many establishments can continue to offer carryout and delivery services. Bloom is open during regular business hours from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday to Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

“People are being told to stay at home and limit or eliminate social activity. That creates anxiety for most people, which is only exacerbated by worries that they won’t be able to get tested/safe cannabis while they are sequestered at home,” said Colleen Tracy, Bloom City Club manager, in an email. “We get at least 50 calls an hour about continued access to medicine. We encourage people to check cannabis company websites and social media accounts for updated store hours and to use online ordering options.”

Skymint is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday to Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Thursday to Saturday. Customers can order online and the 10% discount will be applied automatically. Customers will receive a text message when their order is ready.

“Skymint’s top priority is the health and safety of our patients, customers and staff,” said Summer Ransom-Cleveland, president of retail, in a news release. “Now is the time to take a proactive step to slow the transmission of COVID-19 and protect our communities. We are more than confident in our ability to provide premium products and service to our guests in the comfort of their vehicles for the duration of this unfolding global health situation.”

Apothecare Ann Arbor, 2793 Plymouth Road, in Ann Arbor also offers curbside pickup and delivery within a 5-mile radius.

PREVENTION TIPS

In addition to washing hands regularly and not touching your face, officials recommend practicing social distancing, assuming anyone may be carrying the virus. Health officials say you should be staying at least 6 feet away from others and working from home, if possible. Carry hand sanitizer with you, and use disinfecting wipes or disinfecting spray cleaners on frequently-touched surfaces in your home ( door handles, faucets, countertops ) and when you go into places like stores.
