Nay Aug Park’s biggest single event won’t return this year.

The Pennsylvania Cannabis Festival, which attracted an estimated 10,000 people, dozens of vendors and live music to the Scranton park last year, is relocating to Kutztown, festival co-founder Jeff Zick said today.

The one-day event outgrew the space. Parking had become a huge deterrent for guests and was a deciding factor in moving to Renningers Kutztown Farmers and Antiques Market.

The new location means Zick and his team can expand the event over two days. This year they expect 15,000 guests.

Founded in 2015, the festival celebrates the plant increasingly embraced for its medicinal, recreational and industrial uses. Festival founders had been on the front lines of getting Pennsylvania’s medical marijuana law passed in 2016, and continue to advocate for reform.
