PEORIA HEIGHTS — A 22-year-old Creve Coeur man was arrested after allegedly having a pound of marijuana and more than $21,000 in cash.

According to a report filed at the Peoria Heights Police Department, a car was seen Thursday driving through the Heights and allegedly crossed over the center line twice through the business district.

An officer stopped the car and as the officer was walking to the car, he wrote that he saw a large bag of suspected marijuana though a window. Tyler A. Liles, 22, of 336 Albert St., was the passenger and the driver were both removed from the car.

While officers were searching Liles, they found a large amount of money in his pocket, the report said. In addition to the large bag of suspected marijuana, officers found other bag in the vehicle as well as THC wax, the report said.

In all, officers allegedly found $21,493, 12 grams of THC wax and 571.8 grams of suspected marijuana.

Liles was released Friday from the Peoria County Jail on a notice to appear later.
