MANISTEE ー Filer Township will hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday to decide whether to allow a medical marijuana facility on Maple Road.

A special use application to allow the facility was filed by Michelle Baltazar. Copies of the application can be requested by calling (231) 723-3138.

The hearing will be held electronically to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Public comments will be received at the hearing. Citizens can participate by dialing 1-877-594-8353 and entering the passcode 61275489 followed by the pound key when prompted. Those with disabilities can contact clerk Shirley Ball using the same number to make special arrangements to participate.

Written comments can be submitted before the hearing by addressing them to the Filer Township Zoning Administrator at 2505 Filer City Rd., Manistee, MI 49660. All comments will become part of the hearings’s records.
