PORTLAND, Ore.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Lazarus Naturals, makers of effective, affordable CBD products, and one of the Pacific Northwest’s largest hemp-derived CBD producers, is disputing the CBD industry on its widespread belief that price determines quality of a CBD brand. The company announced today that it has implemented a price reduction of 20 to 40 percent for many of its products, while increasing the potency in its Standard Potency Full Spectrum CBD Tinctures. This industry-shifting move comes as Lazarus Naturals CEO and Founder Sequoia Price-Lazarus furthers his mission of CBD for all.
“Our company was founded with a mission to provide high-quality CBD for everyone and we price our products fairly,” says Price-Lazarus. “The CBD industry sets prices according to perceived quality, but we’re doing it differently. We asked ourselves, why should high quality, effective CBD only be available to those who can afford overpriced products?”
Lazarus Naturals has always offered an industry-leading 60 percent discount to veterans, low-income households and individuals with long-term disabilities. With the new price and potency shifts, all consumers will receive more access to affordable and high-quality CBD products.
Greater Potency, Lower Prices
The company is increasing potency by 33 percent on every size of its Standard Potency Full Spectrum CBD Tinctures to make them more effective and less expensive. In a comparison of leading brands, the company found some brands charging three to four times higher for full spectrum tinctures. For example, the 30 ml tincture now has 33 percent more CBD, increasing from 450 mg to 600 mg, and the price has decreased from $25 to $20, making the “cost per mg” just $.03. Prices on every size of the best-selling High Potency Tincture have decreased by at least 25 percent. For example, the 120 ml bottle has decreased by 40 percent, to just $.02 per mg.
“Lazarus Naturals stands out from the crowd because of their high quality products and affordable prices that are the lowest on the market,” says Brian Peterson, founder and managing editor of the CBDOilUsers.com website. “Comparing prices across CBD brands can be confusing even for those who are good at math. The best way to compare prices is on a ‘price per milligram of CBD’ basis, which is found by dividing the total price by the total amount of CBD in milligrams. This is a truer apples-to-apples comparison of value for your money.”
All CBD is Not Equal
According to Price-Lazarus, there are critical quality indicators that help customers choose a CBD product. Most important is to check for toxins by reviewing a company’s third-party lab test results. Hemp is a “bioaccumulator” which means that there is an increased chance for CBD products to have elevated levels of heavy metals or pesticides, if those substances were already present in the soil in which it was grown. The lab results will also confirm that products contain the advertised amount of CBD. Lazarus Naturals provides these independent test results for every product it sells. Customers can verify a product’s purity and potency on the company’s website by referencing the batch number listed on the product.
“At Lazarus Naturals, we have an efficient process to control purity, potency, and consistency by doing everything ourselves, from growing our own hemp and extracting the CBD oil, to formulating and packaging the finished products,” says Price-Lazarus.
