I used to sell marijuana. I ran a successful delivery service out of a studio apartment in Queens. I’m not shy to say that I consider myself an expert in the marijuana business, mostly because of this experience along with my education in Cannabusiness from Oaksterdam University (yes, it’s a real field of study and a real institution). Now, as cannabis appears on track to become legal in New York, the state should view people like me who have sold it on the black market as the professionals we are and allow us access to the adult-use licenses.
