Mountain Home’s medical marijuana dispensary has changed its hours and practices to address the COVID-19 outbreak, it announced Tuesday.
For the rest of the month, Plant Family Therapeutics will be open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon for online order pickups only; from noon to 2 p.m. for in-store visits; and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. or online order pickups only.
The dispensary is located at 5172 U.S. Highway 62 between Mountain Home and Henderson.
Patients should allow up to three business hours for packaging online orders, and orders placed after 3 p.m. each day will be fulfilled the following business day. A limit of no more than 10 people will be allowed in the dispensary’s waiting room at a single time.
First-time patients, the disabled or those lacking internet access may still make purchases in store within the noon-to-2-p.m. window.
“The above actions will not eliminate the threat but will allow us to limit exposure time and enhance daily cleaning while continuing to ensure that our patients have access to their medications,” the dispensary said in a news release announcing the changes.
Online orders may be made by visiting https://weedmaps.com/dispensaries/plant-family-therapeutics and following the instructions found there. A state-issued medical marijuana ID card is required to purchase cannabis.
The dispensary can be reached by telephone at (870) 709-0800 and can help walk clients through the online ordering process.
Plant Family Therapeutics reserves the right to refuse service to anyone exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms, which include fever, cough or shortness of breath.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this may bring,” the dispensary said in its news release. “It is our goal to keep the public health in mind and help minimize the threat as best we can while still serving our patients with their medical needs.”
