MERIDEN — Two city men were arrested Thursday after 7 pounds of marijuana and ammunition were seized, police said.
Lt John Mennone said Meriden police, the department’s SWAT team, and the Wallingford /Cheshire SWAT team executed a narcotics search warrant at a home in the 300-block of Colony Street, where the two men lived.
Emilio Mercado, 27, was charged with possession with intent to sell and operating a drug factory.
Caz Alicea, 31, was charged with possession with intent to sell and operating a drug factory, violation of a protective order, criminal possession of ammunition and interfering with police.
Caz was also taken into custody for an outstanding arrest warrant from the Connecticut State Police.
