WILDOMAR (CNS) – Sheriff’s investigators today continued their investigation into a Wildomar residence that was discovered to be an illegal marijuana cultivation site.

On Saturday, deputies served a search warrant at a home in the 35000 block of Susan Drive and found more than 820 marijuana plants in various stages of growth, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

The entire residence had been converted into a marijuana grow using common building materials, said Sgt. Glenn Warrington. He said the home’s electrical system had been illegally altered and was a severe fire hazard.

That prompted a Southern California Edison crew to shut off power to the residence, Warrington said.

No arrests were reported, and the investigation was ongoing.
