SIBLEY—A 27-year-old Sibley man was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Saturday, March 21, on charges of first-offense possession of a controlled substance — marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The arrest of Michael Augustus Scheidt stemmed from a complaint of marijuana being consumed at 834 10th St. in Sibley, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the residence and spoke to Scheidt, who allowed them to search the house and a vehicle, according to court documents.

A small jar of marijuana, a resealable bag with marijuana and a glass pipe with burned residue were found in Scheidt’s 1999 Dodge Durango.
