Ernest Lamar McConnell, 59 of Rome, was arrested this week after a traffic stop on North 5^th Avenue turned up cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Reports said that after being stopped for tinted break lights McConnell told police that there was “probably marijuana in the car”.

A search of the vehicle led authorities to a glass smoking device containing cocaine and a bag of marijuana.

McConnell is charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, driving on a suspended license, possession of drug related objects and break light violation.
