On May 21, 2020, detectives with the Valdosta Police Department Narcotics Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1000 block of West Alden Avenue. Detectives conducted a lengthy investigation after receiving numerous complaints from citizens in the area, about narcotics sales. During the search warrant, detectives seized over 6 pounds of marijuana, a firearm, and over $3,500 in currency. The total street value of the marijuana is approximately $62,800. Detectives arrested Khalfini Chastang, 28 years old, on the scene. He was transported to Lowndes County Jail on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute- felony, and possession of drug-related objects.

Narcotics Detectives are continuing to investigate the case, and further charges are pending.
