MINT HILL, TIMES, NC – After working in the industry of Hemp for over two decades and I’ve seen a lot. For many people, anything hemp has been considered taboo or illegal due to misclassification. We frequently misclassify things that we view as a threat or do not understand. This is represented now with our current social climate. Understanding and becoming your own advocate to educate your self is the best way to combat the confusion.

CBD (cannabinoids) have been proven to have a positive effect on all biological beings. However, not all formulations, extractions, or delivery methods work for everyone. In other words, it is not a one size fits all. One plant fits all but most of the population is not consuming raw plant material. Knowing some basic terms will help when making hemp-related decisions for yourself or a family member.

Here is a quick guide to the top three things to help you navigate the hemp world:

1. Broad or Full spectrum describes which cannabinoids are present. For CBD Broad means no trace of THC9.

2. There are two main types of extraction, ethanol, and CO2. Though there are other methods coming to market such as nano extraction they are not mainstream yet.

3. Delivery and carrier methods. Most oils or drops are in either MCT (which is a form of coconut oil) or olive oil. Other delivery methods include capsules/soft gels, gummies, topicals to be used externally, and smokables. No one method is better than the other its really based on your needs individually and what works best for your lifestyle.

There is a lot of great information on the internet but also a lot of sales and “fluff” information.
