Border Police uncovered 27,500 Marijuana plants that were hidden at Tze’elim army base in the Negev, the Police Spokesperson’s Unit said on Sunday, according to Israeli media reports.

The plants were hidden in trenches that were dug in the fire-zone – which the base maintains for military exercises – and hidden with nets spread over them. The officers found 21 locations and destroyed the plants.  It is unclear at the time of writing who was responsible for growing and cultivating the plants.
